The lens is an amazing performer and a perfect compliment as the ultrawide contributor to a holy trinity zoom setup. The VR is especially handy to video shooters and the fact it runs standard 77mm filters also keeps the accessory cost reasonable unlike the 14-24 which needs hyper expensive Lee Square filters.
I just dont take it out enough as I have the ultra compact Nikon 20mm F2.8D that never leaves my bag (that I can also use on my Film bodies).
